Who we are

Our mission is to help our clients make the informed decisions they need to make for their organisations to be successful.

Established in Exeter in 1994, Power Marketing is a full-service market research agency that carries out projects throughout the UK, with particular experience in the South West.

We operate within consumer and business to business markets offering both qualitative and quantitative research services to a range of private sector clients, as well as with public sector and voluntary organisations.

Why we are different

We are marketing professionals who work in market research. As such, we are not interested in research that will sit on a shelf gathering dust – we work closely with our clients to ensure that any data or research they get is linked to clear objectives and is actionable.

Experienced marketing professionals – with a background in marketing and consultancy, we understand how best to develop an optimised research programme which meets your objectives and means you can use your research in your organisation to improve it.

What you see is what you get – ‘hands-on’ approach, the lead Consultant for your project, will be your key contact from briefing to the presentation of results and is fully supported by the management and administrative team.

Strong analytical ability – we have received a number of client accolades about our ability to interpret and present results in a user-friendly format – ensuring all summary points relate directly to the objectives set out by our client and make recommendations to move the organisation forward.

We often have vacancies in a number of regions for experienced field interviewers and supervisors.

Field interviewers will need to be articulate, with a clear voice and customer-orientated manner. Field supervisors will normally be responsible for teams of between 5 and 10 interviewers. Exact requirements for each role will be confirmed on a project by project basis however the work typically involves conducting surveys either on-street or telephone interviews, using a questionnaire.

Full training will be provided to suitable candidates where appropriate.

We operate to the Market Research Society’s Code of Conduct.

Our policies and processes

As suppliers to Devon County Council under their framework agreement, we have all the necessary policies and procedures in place to carry out your project professionally including:

We undertake appropriate risk assessments at the start of our research projects to ensure the health and safety of all our staff. Field researchers are fully briefed prior to a project commencing and issued with appropriate clothing e.g. high vis jackets. Additionally, we have procedures in place where staff are required to work outside normal “working hours” or in isolated locations.

Power Marketing is an equal opportunities employer. Our equality policy incorporates the Equality Act 2010. We regularly communicate with all staff, to provide an opportunity for the feedback, monitoring and resolution of any potential problems. Policies and procedural documentation are in place, clearly setting out the Companies position on equality.

To ensure that our quality and performance meets or exceed our customers’ expectations, we have the procedures and the processes in place for monitoring our quality and performance standards.

For example, our random back checking of completed field work (approximately 5%) and audit trail are designed to ensure that the data obtained is of the highest quality and accuracy.

Our fieldwork services are aligned to and follow the IQCS and ISO20252 quality standards.

We operate in line with the Market Research Society code of conduct and deal with any issues or customer complaints quickly and with full transparency. We notify our clients immediately of any issues which may require follow-up action.

We take data security very seriously and comply fully with the EU GDPR laws on consent and protection of personal data. We are registered with Information Commissioners Office, reference number: Z9914684 (Tier 1)
